Think Like A Man - Jennifer Hudson & Ne-Yo

Though Chris Brown is the star who actually appears in the film, it’s American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson who nabbed the theme song for the 2012 film adaptation of Steve Harvey’s book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man. Jennifer Hudson teams up with Ne-Yo and Rick Ross for the break up tune and I think this is a wonderful pairing. The relationship comedy "Think Like a Man" wooed moviegoers away from "The Hunger Games" at the box office this weekend, marking the first time in four weeks the teen blockbuster hasn't come in at No. 1.

Soul Train: Remembering entertainment pioneer Don Cornelius

Don Cornelius, the smooth-voiced television host who brought black music and culture into America’s living rooms when he created the dance show “Soul Train,” was found dead at age 75 from an apparent suicide early Wednesday morning. The beloved host used to sign off the “Soul Train” show he founded by wishing his audiences “love, peace and soul,” and devoted every programming minute to proving he meant it. In 2008, he was arrested for felony domestic violence against Russian model Victoria Avila-Cornelius who is his second wife.

The drama started before kick-off when Manchester United announced that their legendary midfielder Paul Scholes was coming out of retirement to play until the end of the season and was named on the bench. Scholes came off the bench to make his unexpected 677th United appearance when he replaced Nani just before the hour. However, it was Scholes' loose pass that allowed James Milner to cross for Sergio Aguero to score at the second attempt.

R.I.P X Factor Finalist Kerry McGregor

I remember the Pumpherston X Factor finalist Kerry McGregor when I first saw the music competition a few years ago. She came in ninth place in the series won by Leona Lewis. She has to performed in a wheelchair because of an accident when she was 13. It is so sad to hear about her death. At least, she tried something that she loved in her life.

Liverpool kept going and tested City goalie Hart with some late efforts from Downing and Gerrard, but he was more than equal to the task on a bitterly disappointing night for Dalglish's men. Happy new year! So this blog is nearly three years old. I am so proud of my work here. Here is something for the first post of the new year.
